A Padre’s notebook in our collection listing all Scottish Horse soldiers who were killed in action in October and November 1918 has led to the identification of 2nd Lieutenant David Bell. He was killed in France on the 7th October 1918 and has since lain in an unknown grave. Thanks to the assistance of the ‘MOD War Detectives’ and funding from the Basil D’Eath Trust, two representatives from our Archive were able to attend the Re-dedication ceremony held on Tuesday 22nd March 2022.
