Full steam ahead this week! Today is the beginning of the 20th annual Niel Gow festival held in Dunkeld and Birnam. As part of the festival we are showing an exhibition about music and musicians in the local area. Come on down and have a look! (We are also open this Saturday the 22nd of March from 10am til 3pm).

This change of exhibtion would not have been possible without our fabulous volunteers who helped us package up our existing exhibitions to be put into storage.

Our Young Archaeologists’ club were hard at work this week designing bunting and a logo for their upcoming excavation in Dunkeld. They are really looking forwards to this event and are excited to get some real hands on experience excavating.

We recieved a fantastic aquisition this week of Documents and images relating to the Paul family from Dunkeld who previously owned the drapers on Bridge Street during the 1880s and 90s. Decendants of the family now live in Blairgowrie and popped in to see us and kindly donated the collection. A big thank you to them all!
